BOBBY MADDEN will take charge of Bristol Rovers against Fleetwood Town this weekend as Joey Barton and Scott Brown lock horns again.
The former Rangers and Celtic duo are now in management and both will be hoping to get one over each other in England's League One.
Just a point separates the sides with Brown's Fleetwood in 15th place and Barton's Bristol in 17th.
Madden will take charge of the fixture after he moved south of the border in the summer to pursue a new challenge in officiating.
Upon his departure from the Scottish FA, Madden said: "I would like to thank the Scottish FA for their support over the years – from my first match as a young referee to various derby matches and international appointments.
"It's been some journey in that time, from Scottish Cup finals to refereeing and training during a pandemic, but the time is right for me for a number of reasons to relocate and as a result I'm grateful for the opportunity with the FA."
Madden will be in charge of some familiar faces with Scott Sinclair and Jordan Rossiter both on the books of Bristol Rovers.
St Johnstone cup hero Shaun Rooney, Michael Devlin and Joe Garner will be in action for Fleetwood.
