It has been revealed that Rangers will be without Ben Davies for their Scottish Premiership match against St Mirren.
The former Liverpool man has been a rock in the Ibrox defence since breaking into the team, and he played during the 1-0 victory against Hearts midweek.
Light Blues boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst explained the reason for the 27-year-old's absence ahead of the game in Paisley.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Dutchman said: "Ben is okay but with so many games in such a short period - two days in-between - it was a little bit short for him to play today.
"We were hopeful on Friday he could make it but we decided this morning it was best not to play him."
The Ibrox side started with James Sands and Leon King at the heart of their defence for the match in Paisley.
