RANGERS have suffered another injury blow with defender Leon King stretchered off against St Mirren.
The defender was involved in a nasty head knock after 50 minutes in Paisley with his side trailing by a goal. He collided with Curtis Main in the incident which led to worrying scenes as medics attended to the 18-year-old academy prospect.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirmed the academy prospect was in hospital but in good condition after the game finished 1-1 in Paisley.
The manager said after the game: "He is in the hospital. The doctor is with him now and says he's okay. Fingers crossed, I think he's going to be fine."
The Ibrox manager will be tearing his hair out with yet another injury to add to a long list at Ibrox.
Before today’s game Ben Davies was rested as a precaution leaving the club with only two recognised defenders to face the Buddies.
Van Bronckhorst explained: "Ben is okay but with so many games in such a short period - two days in-between - it was a little bit short for him to play today.
"We were hopeful on Friday he could make it but we decided this morning it was best not to play him."
