RANGERS have issued an injury update on defender Leon King.
The youngster was stretchered off as the Govan outfit drew 1-1 with St Mirren in Paisley yesterday.
King was involved in a nasty collision with Saints striker Curtis Main and as a result, he received lengthy treatment before being substituted.
A club statement updated supporters on his condition. It read: "Leon King suffered a concussion in the second half of yesterday’s match, and was taken to hospital for assessment.
"Leon was discharged from hospital late yesterday afternoon with advice.
"Today, Leon is sore but well. He will now rest completely and follow a graded return to play under the supervision of the medical team."
Meanwhile, manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has told of frustration about his team's performance in the final third.
He said: “We have to do that. We don’t score enough with the chances we have and in the end it damages us a lot.
“When we also defend like that and concede the first goal against us, we make it tough for ourselves.
“We had chances to score the first goal which means they will open up and give us more space. But when you come from behind, the spaces are smaller.
“We had one or two big chances. It was disappointing to drop points. We have to reflect and refresh and recover during the break.
“The weeks have been demanding weeks and we have to start against Hibs (after the break) at home so we have to be ready for that.”
On his future, he added: “I have no fear, no. I never have fear. I just see what comes but I don’t have fear.
“We are going to sit down (with board), that is for sure, and speak about the last couple of months and which way to go forward.
“I said many times before that if we keep dropping points I am accountable for that. That is what comes from the job.
“We prepare the players as best we can and then they have to put in the performance. That is always the case. As I said before, the way we conceded the goal, we had to be sharper.
“It is a five-week break before the next game. Time to reflect and rest and recover and then we have two weeks to prepare for the first game against Hibs.”
