MICHAEL BEALE is expected to take QPR coaching trio Neil Banfield, Damian Matthew and Harry Watling to Rangers, according to reports.
The London club are set to lose Beale as he edges closer to a return to Rangers - and three members of the coaching staff could follow the manager to Glasgow.
Beale is well-liked at Ibrox having played a major role under Steven Gerrard at the club.
And he has been the front-runner to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst since the Dutchman was dismissed on Monday.
It's reported that Beale is now in Glasgow to finalise his move to Rangers with rumours of a three-and-a-half-year deal being agreed.
And Beale will reportedly bring a number of staff members with him when he completes a return to Ibrox.
It's claimed former Arsenal coach Banfield will head to Glasgow as a first-team coach with QPR colleagues Matthew and Watling also in line for a move to Scotland.
Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth reports: "Mick Beale announcement as Rangers boss could be as soon as today.
"Beale at Rangers training ground. Expected to take coaches Neil Banfield & Harry Watling with him to Ibrox.
"Less than 6 weeks ago, he turned down Wolves - citing “loyalty& integrity” to QPR."
He added: "Damian Matthew expected to join up with Beale at Rangers too."
Meanwhile, Ally McCoist has drawn comparisons between Steven Gerrard's Rangers exit and Beale's expected QPR departure.
The pundit claimed Beale's "loyalty and integrity" comments from when he knocked back Wolves have "come back to bite him" as he cited Gerrard's "Do I look happy?" quotes before his Ibrox exit.
Speaking on talkSPORT, McCoist commented: "It's a kind of similar situation to that.
"It doesn't surprise me because it happens to players, it happens in management, it happens with coaches moving on.
"I think it's just a little bit unfortunate that quote has come back to bite Michael.
"We've all made quotes that have come back to bite us but that's certainly one that won't make happy reading for him this morning."
