Speculation is rumbling that Leon Balogun could make a sensational return to Rangers.
QPR fans have raised concerns that the experienced defender could be heading back to Ibrox to hook-up with Michael Beale once more.
The English gaffer was announced as Rangers' new manager on Monday, as he signed on the dotted line until 2026.
It came a little over one-year on from his departure at Ibrox, as he followed Steven Gerrard to Aston Villa before becoming R's boss in the summer.
One of his first signings at Loftus Road was Balogun, who left Rangers on a free at the end of his contract.
The Nigeria international made no secret over his disappointment at not being able to stay in Glasgow, but did find a new club fairly swiftly.
He was replaced by John Souttar and Ben Davies at the back, with Giovanni van Bronckhorst securing the signings in the summer.
However, with Beale returning to Rangers, fans are questioning whether he will take Balogun with him when the transfer window reopens in January.
Balogun missed QPR's friendly game with Livingston today, less than 24-hours after Beale officially became Rangers manager.
That has sparked speculation on social media among R's fans, with some of the mindset that he could be in line to move back to the Ibrox club.
One wrote on Twitter: "He's away back to Rangers with Beale."
It is worth noting that he missed the final Championship game prior to the World Cup break due to a calf knock.
