Everything Light Blues defender Leon King had to say in his interview with Rangers TV after putting pen to paper on a new deal with the Ibrox club.
How does it feel to have signed this contract extension?
I am extremely happy to sign a new deal, which is a long-term extension on the contract I already had here. It is amazing for my family and me. I have always wanted to play for this club and I am glad it is continuing.
Why did you want to commit your future to Rangers?
I have been a fan of this club since I was born and my whole family are Rangers supporters. I love this club, so it was a no-brainer.
How much do you feel you have grown over the last 12 months?
Immensely. I have had a few hard spells but it is all about learning. I just need to keep my head down and work with the new staff and the players around me. This will all only make me better.
How much can your previous experiences help you going forward?
Massively. The Champions League especially was an amazing learning experience for me. I had a few difficult games there but it is all all about how you bounce back.
How do you look back on your time in the Rangers academy?
It has been a while but it has been great. I did a signing night with the younger ones yesterday. It is great to see how energetic the younger boys are when they see guys like Alex [Lowry] and myself coming to their signing nights.

Do you hope you can be a role model for younger players?
Definitely. I don't see a lot of the younger lads as we are in here [the training ground] early doors and they are at school. Especially at signing nights, it is great for us to be there for them.
How does it feel to be working under Michael Beale again?
It is a joy to be working with the gaffer again. I worked with him for a year when I originally moved up to the first team. It is like he has never been away really. It is amazing that he is back in.
How much are you enjoying working with the new coaching staff?
I have spoken a lot with Neil [Banfield] as he takes charge of a lot of the defensive side of things and I am looking forward to being able to learn from him.
How much are you hoping to continue to push yourself?
Hopefully as much as I can. I want to push myself on and off the pitch, which is what you need to do at a club like this.
Are you looking forward to the Hibs game?
Everyone is buzzing. It has been quite a while since the last game and I think everyone is raring to go and can't wait to get out on the pitch in front of the fans tomorrow.
