How the Rangers players rated after John Lundstram goal was enough to seal a 1-0 victory over Ross County in the Highlands.

Jon McLaughlin:  Only made the starting line-up after Allan McGregor was ruled out of the squad with a sickness bug but stepped up to the plate. Didn't have a lot to do but made an outstanding save with his leg from George Harmon's point-blank header that saved his team's bacon at 0-0. Comfortable with the ball at his feet and distributed it well. 8

James Tavernier: Still not 100 percent but looks to be building towards better form after an injury struggle capped by the nasty sickness bug cutting through the squad. Got up and down and rarely gave the ball away but wasn't the attacking threat he can be at his best. 6

Ben Davies: A shaky first-half display gave way to a much more solid second 45 minutes. Looked rusty from the start before a poor clearance was nearly punished with a goal from Harman. The defender's blushes were saved by his keeper. Untroubled after that as he got up to the pace of the match. 6

Connor Goldson: Not back at his best quite yet but Rangers look a different proposition with his leadership and experience marshalling the other defenders. Solid and always a threat with his ability to ping a long-ball over the top. 7

Adam Devine: His run in the team is likely to end when Borna Barisic returns from World Cup duty but this spell has surely done his development the world of good. Found himself in consistently good positions down the left flank and created some decent opportunities. Another promising youngster from the B team with a big future. 7

John Lundstram: Dropped between the central defenders to get involved in the build-up often. Was always looking to probe and get play moving. Scored the opener having been allowed a bit of time at the edge of the box. His finish into the corner from twenty yards was powerful and true. Found a jaw-dropping pass through the defence to slip in Devine. 8

Glen Kamara: He's had a poor season to date but is ever-present under the new manager and is beginning to look more like the player everyone knows he can be. Used the ball well and his physicality was important in the physical battle. Nearly waltzed through on goal after a mazy run late in the first half but delayed his shot too long. 7

Scott Arfield:  Couldn't add the same level of threat he brought to the table against Aberdeen but toiled away diligently in the engine room. Was something of a spectator and might have reached the stage where he's better as an impact substitute. 5

Malik Tillman:  Showed some deft touches in midfield and played in Sakala brilliantly with a threaded pass but struggled to have a major impact in a congested midfield. Always looked bright and willing though. Substituted after 66 minutes. 6

Ryan Kent: Never stopped looking to provide the creative impetus for his side but found it tough going at times. Looks much more dangerous and influential in the middle of the pitch than he did pinned to the wing as a chalk on the boots wideman under the previous manager. Getting a new contract signed and sealed will surely be a key priority for the Beale regime. 6

Fashion Sakala: Created the opener after linking with Lundstram before a crisp pass set him up for a shot. Missed a sitter after 53 minutes when he failed to convert Devine's pinpoint cross from only six yards out. Still a player that can delight and frustrate in equal measure. Substituted after an hour for Morelos. 6

Substitutes

Alfredo Morelos: A lot more engaged under Beale than he did in the final vestiges of the van Bronckhorst era. Put himself about after coming on and looked to hold the ball up. Missed a great chance at the death after Matondo's shot was spilled into his path. 5

Rabbi Matondo: Looked sharp on arrival with 30 minutes to go and drew an excellent save out of Ross Laidlaw late on. Was put through one-on-one with the keeper during injury time but tried to go around when shooting was the more obvious option and was foiled. 4

Ryan Jack: Added a bit of bite and experience to the midfield. Neat and tidy. 5
