Steven Gerrard is ON the bookies' list to replace Frank Lampard as Everton manager.
Prominent betting house William Hill have the former Rangers boss at 66/1 to take over from his former England midfield partner Frank Lampard.
The Chelsea legend was sacked today after a poor start to the season that sees the Toffees in the relegation mire.
Gerrard is a Liverpool legend who frequently caused Everton heartache in his career and a move to his beloved club's local rivals seems far-fetched.
But it hasn't stopped bookmakers from pricing up what would be a jaw-dropping return to the Premier League after his sacking from Aston Villa earlier in the season.
Gerrard has recently been linked with a return to football with the Poland national team and is understood to be keen on returning to the dugout in the near future.
Sean Dyche is the 6/4 favourite with the former Burnley boss likely seen as a safe pair of hands to secure their Premier League future.
Former Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa is also in the mix and is quoted at 5/2.
Another former Rangers star, Duncan Ferguson is third favourite at 7/2 to return to the club he loves as manager after a spell as assistant to Carlo Ancelotti and Rafa Benitez.
