Rangers manager Michael Beale has provided an injury update on his squad ahead of the League Cup final against Celtic.

Malik Tillman, John Lundstram and Ryan Jack all missed the 3-0 victory over Livingston due to carrying knocks.

And now Beale has admitted the team that starts at Hampden could be very similar to the one that lined up Almondvale as none of the injured players have returned to training so far.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference, he said: "No positive news at the moment, none of the boys returned to training today.

"The team you saw at the weekend will be very close to the one that starts on Sunday. If we get one or two additions back that will be a bonus."

Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard has sensationally emerged as a candidate to become the next PSG manager, according to a report.

The former Rangers boss is said to be on the radar of the Ligue 1 giants.

The Scottish Daily Express reports that Gerrard has been added to the shortlist of the European heavyweights as they aim to replace Christophe Galtier with some poor recent results.

PSG lead their domestic league by five points, and are still well in their Champions League tie with Real Madrid at the half way stage of the last-16 knockout round.

However, the report claims that their board has grown frustrated with Galtier due to the side's recent performances.

They are under Qatar ownership. And they are said to be interested in having a marquee name become their new gaffer.

That has led to speculation linking Gerrard with a move to Paris.

Gerrard spent three-and-a-half years in Glasgow with Rangers before opting to leave for Aston Villa in 2021.
