Kris Boyd has continued to slate Alfredo Morelos insisting that the Colombian does not have a future at Ibrox.
The former Rangers striker has been critical of Morelos this season due to his physical condition and work ethic both in training and on matchday.
Boyd has urged his former side to cut ties with Morelos, but it remains to be seen if he will stay at the club beyond the summer.
Boyd told Sky Sports: "I think when you look at the situation, Antonio Colak seems to be low maintenance, he'll come in and he'll do what he needs to do.
"I think any team you are only as good as your strikers. That is, that is the clear difference between Celtic and Rangers at this moment time.
"Celtic have got one who constantly turns up for his work and puts in a shift every single week.
"Rangers don't have that when Alfredo Morelos plays. You look at Colak, I don't think he is as good an all round player as Alfredo Morelos, but he applies himself properly.
"Rangers, I think for me, well, they don't have a dilemma. If it's me, I think Morelos' time is up I've said that.
"I think Michael Beale is probably becoming frustrated with it as well, hence the reason why he didn't play yesterday.
"Colak is obviously under contract going forward so they are going to have to work with him at this moment in time. But you know looking at it right now, I can't see a future at Rangers for Alfredo Morelos."
Meanwhile, Todd Cantwell looks forward to the next test in his Rangers career knowing the Light Blues will be well backed at Easter Road on Wednesday night.
The 25-year-old former Norwich midfielder helped the Gers to a 3-1 cinch Premiership win over Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Saturday as Michael Beale’s side responded positively to last week’s disappointing ViaPlay Cup final defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic at Hampden Park.
The Light Blues led at the interval against Killie through goals from defender Connor Goldson, attacker Fashion Sakala and a James Tavernier penalty.
However, second-bottom Killie, who have not won away from home in the league this season, came back after the break and defender Jeriel Dorsett headed in what turned out to be a consolation goal.
Next up is Hibernian and Cantwell, who signed for the Ibrox club in January, knows a big Gers support will be in Leith.
The midfielder told RangersTV: “It has been brilliant, and it goes without saying, the away support is incredible.
“I am just looking forward to every game at the moment, playing football again and having a smile on my face is exactly what I came here for.
“It had been a long while where I hadn’t had a consistent run of games, but I am starting to feel match-fit again, which is really good.
“I am starting to feel I have a better understanding with the players which is something that is only going to get better and, personally, I feel like I am moving in the right direction.”
