Barry Ferguson is confident Ross Wilson won't be missed by Rangers fans.
In fact, the former Ibrox skipper reckons there are three ready-made replacements who could succeed the now Nottingham Forest man in the sporting director role.
Wilson left Rangers on Wednesday to join Premier League club Nottingham Forest after four years in Glasgow.
Michael Beale last night said he had lost a "good ally" in Wilson's exit, but for Ferguson, it brings around the opportunity for "much-needed change at the top".
Ferguson was complimentary of Wilson's work in landing decent transfer fees for Nathan Patterson, Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey but was far less impressed with incomings under his watch.
However, the Rangers hero reckons Davie Weir, Craig Moore or John Park could lead an overhaul of recruitment in Glasgow should any of them succeed Wilson.

In his Daily Record column, Ferguson commented: "And there are three obvious candidates which jump out at me where the new man is concerned - Davie Weir, Craig Moore and John Park.
"Three guys who know the club inside out and who share an encyclopaedic knowledge of the marketplace.
"Most importantly of all, they understand the qualities required for any player to cut it at a club like Rangers. And maybe that’s something the last man lacked when it came to his judgement.
"I don’t know John very well but I do know all about his reputation and it’s top notch.
"Davie has been heading up the recruitment at Brighton and when it comes to ‘player trading models’ I don’t think there’s a club anywhere in Europe which is doing it better.
"Every time the window opens they sell their best players for a small fortune. And, without fail, they bring in even more quality for a fraction of the price. So Davie would be a no-brainer in that regard, especially when you consider what he achieved at Ibrox as a player.
"The first question is, would he swap the Premier League for a return to Scottish football? And, if so, would Rangers be able to get close to matching his current wages?
"These are the obvious barriers where Davie is concerned. They may or may not be insurmountable but it’s up to Rangers to find out.
"And as for Moore, he’s ideally positioned because of the enormous contacts book he has built up in his work as an agent. He’s also the kind of guy who lives and breathes football and could give you a sore head when it comes to talking about players, their stats, their strengths and their inside leg measurements. He leaves no details to chance and he also knows what it means to represent that club.
"Most of all, what Rangers need now is a football buff - a really intelligent guy who knows the game inside out - and all three of these men more than fit that bill."
