In a heartfelt message, Scott Arfield has expressed his gratitude and bid farewell to the Rangers.
Arfield's departure marks the end of a memorable chapter in his career, filled with numerous triumphs and unforgettable moments.
From the club's historic 55th league title victory to the thrilling journey to Seville and the Scottish Cup triumphs, he has been an integral part of the team's success.
The midfielder's versatility, tenacity, and technical prowess made him a fan favourite and a vital asset on the pitch.
In his heartfelt message, Arfield emphasized the profound impact that Rangers' passionate fanbase has had on his career.
He said: "From 55 to Seville, the Scottish Cup and everything else in between, it's been some ride.
"But none are more important than you, the fans. Players will come and go but you remain the one true constant at the football club.
"Your support was never taken for granted. The reception I received on my last ever Rangers appearance at Ibrox will live with me and my family forever.
"It's been an absolute pleasure. All the best, keep smiling. Scotty Arf."
Meanwhile, Michael Beale is looking for players to “step up into leadership roles” next season following the departure of Allan McGregor, Arfield and others.
Robby McCrorie took over in goal from McGregor for the trip to St Mirren on Saturday where Arfield came on as a second-half substitute in the 3-0 cinch Premiership win thanks to a double from Fashion Sakala and close-range effort from substitute Antonio Colak.
Beale will revamp his squad to challenge champions Celtic next season and told RangersTV that he is now looking for new leaders.
He said: “Robby has come in and we’ve seen no change in terms of him coming in as a young goalkeeper taking over from someone like Allan, who has been a stalwart for many years.
“I want to mention him and Scott because we’re losing a lot of experience and standards, so I’m expecting one or two others to step up now.
“That’s the message to the group, those two players have been there and seen it at this club, played in the Premier League, and we’re going to need one or two others to step up into those leadership roles.”
