Rangers welcome Morton to Ibrox this afternoon in the League Cup. PSV are the visitors on Tuesday night for the first leg of the massive Champions League play-off clash and could Michael Beale rotate his side? Our writers have provided their predicted teams...

With PSV looming large on Tuesday, Michael Beale will no doubt have one eye on the first leg of the Champions League Play-off when he selects his team to face Morton.
With that in mind, we should expect a handful of changes starting in goal. Robby McCrorie deserves a shot between the sticks and going by his previous displays, Rangers will be in safe hands.
In front of him we should see a first start for Dujon Sterling, will he replace James Tavernier at right-back or fill in at left-back? Given the skipper has looked a tad leggy of late, it would do him good to sit this one out but don’t be surprised to see him start. If Ridvan is fit he should also return to the starting XI with Borna Barisic rested ahead of Tuesday.
The centre-back pairing is likely to be rotated with Leon Balogun replacing either John Souttar or Connor Goldson. The Nigerian performed well against Livingston last week and should take care with whatever Morton throws at him.
Expect alterations in midfield, Ianis Hagi is one player who needs minutes and this match presents a chance to do just that. Alongside him, a Kieran Dowell and Jose Cifuentes partnership would complement the Romanian.
In the forward line, there are concerns heading into the PSV double-header with no striker setting the heather alight just yet. Therefore, it makes sense to start Cyriel Dessers and Danilo in the hope they can bag a goal and spend more time on the pitch getting to grips with their teammates and the style of play.
Perhaps a surprise inclusion also for Rabbi Matondo. The Welshman impressed from the bench against Livingston and deserves a chance from the off.
Predicted line-up: McCrorie, Sterling, Goldson, Balogun, Ridvan, Cifuentes, Dowell, Hagi, Matondo, Dessers, Danilo.

It will be fascinating to see Michael Beale’s team selection with the massive Champions League clash against PSV on the horizon.
The temptation will be to fully rotate the team but the decision needs to be weighed against the importance of allowing this new-look Rangers team to build relationships on the pitch.
Robby McCrorie impressed towards the tail end of last season but Jack Butland has rightly been installed as first-choice since his arrival. McCrorie could depart in search of first-team opportunities but he should start against Morton.
Huge demands are placed on Borna Barisic and James Tavernier in Beale’s current system and both should be rested. Dujon Sterling is an exciting talent and the former Chelsea defender can deputise for Barisic, with Adam Devine replacing Barisic - unless Ridvan Yilmaz is fit to return. Leon Balogun will come in and Ben Davies will be in contention to allow John Souttar and Connor Goldson to rest.
Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin should be wrapped in cotton wool for Tuesday night, with Cantwell also nursing a slight thigh injury. Jose Cifuentes could start but there’s plenty of depth in midfield and John Lunstram, Kieran Dowell and Ianis Hagi is one option.
It’s important for Rangers’ new strikers to gel and gain confidence. Danilo, Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers should be afforded time to build on their partnerships, although Rabbi Matondo would be unlucky to miss out after his impressive cameo against Livingston.
Predicted line-up: McCrorie, Sterling, Balogun, Davies, Devine, Lundstram, Dowell, Hagi, Lammers, Dessers, Danilo
