Every word the manager had to say to Sky after today's 2-0 win at St Johnstone.
Your thoughts on the game?
We started really well and had a few chances, it was an excellent goal but unfortunately, we lost Danilo in that moment and the delay took the momentum out of the game. Up until the end of the first half, there were a lot of chances in the game. Delighted for Rabbi because he's come on in games and had a big impact and has missed that type of chance before. Again, I thought it was an excellent goal and well done to Tom Lawrence. Straight back in, first 90 minutes in a long time and it was good for Kemar Roofe to get 90 minutes. I was really pleased for Ben Davies as well that's our third clean sheet in nine league games. It's a step in the right direction, there were moments I was really happy with and others we've got to work on. St Johnstone never makes it easy here.
What do you need to work on?
🗣️ "We're disappointed to lose Danilo, it's a fractured cheekbone"

I think just a little more on the last connection in the final third. You can see it's coming. It's desperately disappointing to lose Danilo because he's been looking sharp in training, before that he'd had one or two issues. It looks like a fractured cheekbone and we're going to miss him for a while. It was an excellent goal. That's what we need to keep working on. Defensively we're not giving up many chances, three clean sheets in five league games and I'm really pleased with Jack, I thought Ben was excellent at centre-back.
Is Danilo in hospital?

Yeah, we know it's a fracture on the side of his face so I'm not the expert but that's the information I've been given by the medical team already.
How does this set you up for Europe?
It's a completely different challenge. We now have four home games in a close period of time. Real Betis were sixth in La Liga last season, have an excellent coach and it's a completely different challenge. We will have to have a look at this this week but we're certainly looking forward to our Europa League campaign starting.
