Philippe Clement is confident a cohesive approach to the transfer window will allow Rangers to add the right players at the right price in the coming weeks.
The Belgian lifted the first silverware of his Ibrox reign on Sunday as James Tavernier netted the only goal of the game in the Viaplay Cup final victory over Aberdeen. Rangers now return to Premiership action with the visit of St Johnstone aiming to move within two points of Celtic in the title race.
With another game in hand still to come after the winter break, Clement’s side have a chance to put themselves in a strong position domestically after also securing their place in the last 16 of the Europa League with a historic win over Real Betis.

Clement has worked wonders with the squad that he inherited at Ibrox when he replaced Michael Beale in October. He will soon be able to put his own stamp on the group when the window opens next month and the 49-year-old believes the collaboration between his staff and the Ibrox board will pay dividends for Rangers.
“I don’t work in a club where it’s my job and their job,” Clement said. “Because our job is together and that’s really crucial in every decision that is made.
"That is also one reason why I’m here because we had really good talks and I had a really good feeling about those things. These were people who wanted to do a strong story together.
“I want to work in a club where it’s a family and everyone wants to work hard. That’s what I’m feeling until now. I don’t have any doubts it will be the case in the next few weeks or months.

“That (if you can be confident you will get the players needed) you never know. Because you can want a player and someone else wants him also.
"They have more money and the player wants more money. That’s part of the business.
“But we are going to work hard to find good players who want to come to Glasgow Rangers. That’s also an important thing.
"We only want players who come here with all their heart. We don’t want players who are only busy with money.”
