Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers insists "the best is still to come" after he scored the only goal of the game against St Mirren.
The Nigerian's finish marked his 12th goal of the season as he netted for the second match in a row after also scoring against Hibernian last time out.
Dessers' strike in the first half was enough to give Philippe Clement's men the victory in Paisley as they continue to ramp the pressure up on league leaders Celtic.
And while the 29-year-old was delighted with his goal, he feels things can get even better.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "It was not easy today with the pitch, the sun and the wind. It was also against a good team, but we can do it in all kinds of ways, so it was a nice victory.
"It feels good [to score] but it is thanks to the work of the team if you see how we defend at the end. My goal is important but today is a big team performance.
"The best is still to come".
Ibrox team-mate John Lundstram also praised the striker, claiming Dessers is now reaping the rewards after putting in the hard work.
And he admits that while it was not the most eye-catching performance against Stephen Robinson's side, the result is the most important thing.
"He was still scoring goals even early on in the season and he gets loads of chances which is the most important thing," the former Sheffield United midfielder said.
"The goals are flowing for him, and I am so happy for him as he has worked so hard and long may it continue.
"We just need to keep pushing. There is a few [results] along the way that you look back on and say, ' we had to dig deep there'.
"The conditions meant it was the not the prettiest performance from us but it is a win and that is all that matters."
