Rangers loanee Jose Cifuentes has been given the all-clear to make his debut for Cruzeiro on Sunday after he cut through red tape that threatened the move.
The Ecuadorian midfielder moved on loan to the Brazilian club owned by World Cup legend Ronaldo after an underwhelming spell in Glasgow.
Cruzeiro have an option to turn the loan into a permanent move if he impresses during his spell at the club.
But despite arriving at Cruzeiro ten days ago, he was unable to play for the club because of a work permit issue that threatened to strangle his loan at the Belo Horizonte outfit.

But he's now been given the green light to play on Sunday against Pouso Alegre in the Campeonato Mineiro tournament.
Cruzeiro manager Nicolás Larcamon said: "Jose Cifuentes has now received his permit and has been registered to play with the Brazilian FA.
"He has been training with us since he arrived and is in the squad for Sunday's match.
"We are looking forward to what he can bring to the group. The loan is until December when Cruzeiro will make a decision on him."
