Angry Rangers chiefs have released a scathing statement in response to the match against Dundee at Dens Park being postponed 90 minutes before kick-off.
Club officials were left "extremely disappointed and angered" after the Scottish Premiership match - due to be broadcast on Sky Sports - was called off after players and fans had arrived.
Don Robertson deemed the match unplayable due to a waterlogged pitch after a second pitch inspection at 10.15am. The ball would roll on the surface but would not bounce.
Rangers chiefs were left furious over the situation with players and staff inside the stadium and supporters arriving in Dundee for the match before confirmation of the call-off.
And the club have questioned why no concerns were raised over the playing surface before Sunday morning. And the statement cites "reoccurring issues" at Dens Park over the pitch with previous matches postponed at the venue after heavy rainfall.
The club correspondence went on to state that the call-off "reflects poorly on our game" as the only match postponed in the UK this weekend.

A Rangers club statement read: "Rangers FC, on behalf of our supporters, are extremely disappointed and angered with the late call-off of today’s match with Dundee FC.
"The first-team have prepared as normal for the match, and it was not until this morning that any concerns over the playing surface were raised.
"It is not understood why the home club did not raise those concerns in a more timely manner, given the reoccurring issues they have had with their playing surface at earlier points in the season.
"The Rangers team and thousands of our supporters had already arrived at the stadium by the time a decision was reached.
"This is the only match in the entire UK senior leagues to be postponed this weekend, and given it was to be shown on Sky Sports nationwide, reflects poorly on our game."
