Gheorghe Hagi has shot down reports son Ianis Hagi has already agreed to sign for his former club Galatasaray from Rangers.
The Romanian star is on loan at Alaves after being sent to La Liga on loan, but the 25-year-old has only managed to score in one game out of the 22 he has played for them when he netted a double in a 10-0 rout in the Copa del Rey.
Reports in Turkey claimed to confirm that Hagi had agreed a deal to sign for Galatasaray from Rangers, once his underwhelming loan move in Spain finished at the end of the season.
However, Hagi senior - who played and managed Galatasaray - insisted no deal had been done and his son will head back to Glasgow at the end of the season.
Hagi said after his club he owns and manages Farul Constanța lost to Steaua Bucharest: "All I know is that Ianis will return to Rangers after his loan at Alaves ends at the end of the season.
"He is focused only on Alaves at the moment and he is still there until the summer. Then he still has a contract with Rangers.
"I don't know anything about a transfer to Galatasaray. I can only tell you what I know."

Hagi junior, who was born in Istanbul when his ex-Real Madrid and Barcelona legendary dad was at Galatasaray, still has two more years left of his Ibrox deal after former boss Michael Beale extended his contract.
It comes after Rangers midfielder Hagi dropped a hint on his future by admitting he pictures himself still playing in Spain beyond this season.
Asked whether he sees himself in Spain a year from now by Marca, Hagi stated: "Yes, it is where I want to be.
"It is the football in which I want to grow, it is the football that I believe can unlock the best version of me.
"I've only been here 6-7 months and I already feel like I'm a better player, I'm growing every day, in training and in games.
"I see progression every day and I believe that in the near future my best qualities will be unlocked and I will show everyone who I am."
