Neil Lennon has been pulled up for his comments on Rangers' celebrations following their derby draw with Celtic today.

Glasgow's big two played out a pulsating 3-3 draw at Ibrox this afternoon, with goals and drama aplenty.

Celtic led 2-0 at half time thanks to Daizen Maeda - who scored after 30 seconds - and a Matt O'Riley penalty.

James Tavernier scored from the spot after the hosts were awarded a penalty of their own, with Abdallah Sima equalising with just five minutes left of normal time.

Adam Idah went up the other end of the park and scored almost instantaneously after before a Rabbi Matondo stunner finished the scoring.

After a scuffle between players and staff at full-time, which was sparked after an exchange between Todd Cantwell and Callum McGregor, Clement ordered his players to do a lap of honour, so they could show their appreciation for the packed out home crowd.

And it was here that Sky Sports pundit Lennon took issue with the Rangers manager in particular.

As the camera panned on Philippe Clement celebrating with the home fans, geeing those in the Broomloan Stand up by punching the air, the ex-Celtic skipper and manager insisted it wasn't for him.

He said: "I'm old school, I'm not one to celebrate a draw."

However, football fans notoriously don't let things go - and so that's proved here again.

Eagle-eyed fans on social media site X were quick to point out that Lennon indeed celebrated a draw in the past, as Hibernian secured a 5-5 draw against Rangers on the final day of the 2017/18 season.

The Northern Irishman was in charge of Hibs at the time, with Australian striker Jamie MacLaren scoring to seal a point apiece for the teams.

After quoting Lennon, one user wrote: "Also Neil Lennon:"

Another said: "Brilliant."

And a third wrote: "Here’s Neil Lennon not celebrating a draw."

However, to balance the point made by some supporters scrutinising Lenny online, it was pointed out that rather than necessarily celebrating the draw his team had secured, he was overjoyed that his team achieved European football with the resultant point.
