Philippe Clement has branded the uncertainty surrounding Rangers' match with Dundee as 'crazy'.

Doubts remain over whether tomorrow night's match will go ahead as planned at Dens Park.

That's because of the current poor state of the pitch, and the yellow weather warnings in place for heavy rain over Tuesday and Wednesday.

Dens chief John Nelms is confident the match will go ahead, insisting that covers are over the 'areas of concern' to help protect the grass from the elements.

The re-arranged match was postponed on Sunday, March 17 due to a waterlogged surface.

And if the encounter should fall foul to the weather again, then it's expected the game would be shifted to next midweek, despite the post-split fixtures occurring after this weekend.

Four games have already been called off at Dens Park this season, and Clement reckons a solution must be found to ensure the game goes ahead.

He told the media: "It's a crazy situation, we are going to travel now and stay (overnight) but we don't know for sure if the game is on. It's a bad situation for the league.

"We have to find a good solution to get this game played. If it was moved to next week we could find ourselves in the same situation once again if it rains.

"The club has been in talks with Dundee and the league as we want a good football game to go ahead. They are in a battle for the top six, creating a lot of chances. So it will be a big test against a good team."

Nelms told Sky Sports: "We've done everything we can do to make the pitch playable and right now the areas of concern we have covered and we've had them covered since yesterday.

"The timing of the rain is always an issue here. We've done everything we can do to get the water draining out of the pitch. We did that before Saturday's game but once again it was a timing issue."
