Barry Ferguson believes Rangers boss Philippe Clement will have named his team to face Dundee with goal difference in mind. 

Rangers have conceded three goals in each of their last two Scottish Premiership games, and the defence has come under severe scrutiny since Sunday's gut-wrenching defeat against Ross County. 

If Rangers beat Dundee tonight though, they can go within a point of Celtic in the league table, with five games left to play. 

Ferguson would take three points by any means, but would love to see them rack up some goals - especially because Kemar Roofe, Fabio Silva and Abdallah Sima all start at Dens Park.

"I'd take an O.G," the former Light Blues captain admitted on the Go Radio Football Show when asked to provide his prediction. 

"Listen, I don't care. I'd take an O.G in the 89th minute, there you go."

He then went on to discuss the attack-minded team selection from Clement and the fact Rangers are five behind their Glasgow rivals in the goal difference column.

"I think that's one of the reasons why he's went with such an attack-minded team," Ferguson confessed.

"I know there's still five games after tonight, but you need to start racking up the goals because it could come down to goal difference.

"I've been involved in that myself, in the last day of the season. So, I'm going to go 2-0 Rangers."
