A trio of senior Rangers players have come under fire after their side's latest slip-up in the title race with Celtic.

Philippe Clement's side were held to a 0-0 draw at Dens Park on Wednesday evening as their rearranged game with Dundee finally went ahead.

It followed on just days after a disappointing 3-2 defeat in the Highlands against Ross County, with both results meaning Rangers trail their arch-rivals by three points at the top of the table.

James Tavernier, Connor Goldson and John Lundstram are some of the most senior members of the starting XI at Ibrox.

And former Rangers kid Rory Loy reckons the stalwarts have a lot to answer in relation to Rangers' downturn in form.

The BBC pundit doesn't believe Rangers' run of two draws and a defeat in their last three games is much of a surprise - because it's happened before in recent years.

He told BBC Sportsound: "I’ve said it throughout, before the show, during the game - pressure. I don’t think that they have dealt well with the pressure.

"I think some of their stalwarts, Tavernier, Goldson, Lundstram, they’ve been in this position before and anytime that bit of pressure is applied they don’t seem to react well to it.

“They can’t seem to handle it all that well. They did one season of course, when Celtic capitulated and were not anywhere close to them.

“But when it comes to this time of the season, where it’s just after the winter break or closer to the end of the season, they don’t seem to be able to handle it very well.”

Clement said: “I still believe. I was maybe the only one in Glasgow who believed that in October, probably the only one of the whole town who believed that.

“We are now six months later and if we win all our games then there is a really big possibility for that.
