Rangers have made a decision over the future of Fabio Silva, according to a report in Portugal. 

The attacker has struggled at times during his loan spell from Wolves but has spent a lot of his time playing wide on the left when he is a natural centre forward. 

Portuguese journalist Sebastiao Sousa Pinto has reported that Rangers have already decided whether they will look to sign him on a permanent deal or extend his loan spell, and it isn't good news for Silva. 

It appears Rangers have decided that he will return to Wolves at the end of the season and his future will then be decided by the English Premier League side. 

Silva will be entering the final year of his Wolves contract when he heads back down south, having signed for the Molineux side in 2020 on a five-year deal. 

They paid Porto £35million for him but the move hasn't worked out as planned and he scored just five goals in 73 games for them.

He's spent most of the last two seasons out on loan having split last year at Anderlecht and PSV before he moved to Rangers in January 2024. 

The 21-year-old has scored four goals in his 20 appearances and earned a recall to Portugal's U21 squad but his form has dropped in recent weeks and he's been unable to make an impact, with his last goal coming in a 2-1 win over Hibs in the Scottish Cup in March. 

His other goals for Rangers came against Hearts, Livingston and Ayr United.
