Rangers have announced the pre-contract signing of Clinton Nsiala from AC Milan.

The 20-year-old will arrive at Ibrox on July 1 and becomes Philippe Clement's third summer acquisition following the additions of Jefte and Oscar Cortes.

The promising young defender honed his skills in the youth system of Ligue 1 club, Nantes, for two years before making a switch other San Siro in 2021.

Clinton quickly became a key player for Milan's Under-19 team, which made it to the UEFA Youth League final last season. He started in nine out of ten matches during their impressive run.

Additionally, the starlet gained significant experience by being part of Milan's matchday squad for several Serie A games under the guidance of manager Stefano Pioli.

Director of Recruitment, Nils Koppen, is confident that Rangers is the right club for Nsiala to continue his development and hopes he can be a positive addition to the Light Blues squad ahead of next season.

“We are excited to add a talented young player in Clinton to the squad," he said.

“He joins as an exciting talent who we believe can develop and take his next steps under our manager, Philippe Clement, and his staff.

“We look forward to welcoming Clinton to Glasgow as we continue to shape the squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.”
