Philippe Clement has promised Rangers fans that experienced players will be on their way to the club this summer.
So far this summer, the recruitment policy has focussed on youth and players without as much senior game time as will be required for a title race with Celtic, and Champions League qualifiers.
The latest signing was Connor Barron who recently left Aberdeen. A compensation fee has yet to be agreed for the Scotland Under-21 international.
He followed Jefte, Oscar Cortes and Clinton Nsiala through the door, with Moroccan striker Hamza Igamane inbound too.
Clement pointed out that the club lost five experienced pros at the end of last season, with John Lundstram, Ryan Jack, Borna Barisic, Kemar Roofe and Jon McLaughlin all out of contract.
And the Belgian insists the way the window has gone so far has all been part of his and the Ibrox recruitment team's plan.
"We had five players going out of the club at the end of their contracts and we didn't get any money in," he told Rangers TV. "We lost five players but for the moment it was easier to get the young players but there will also be experience coming into the building and we need a good balance in the squad of both.
"It was important to find these young talents and I think we found some exciting talents for the future of this club. They are ready to play some minutes in the beginning but certainly in the next couple of years."
Asked if the aforementioned young guns are long-term projects, he responded: "Yes, and it's something that has not been done in the last couple of years. To develop young players and sell them for a better price - so a lot of players left for free and that cost the club a lot of money.
"In that way, we need to get a better trading model. I think the recruitment team found a few really interesting talents for the future of this club."

The 49-year-old enjoyed his break, touring the Highlands with his wife. While pleased he's in the good books with her, he admitted that he never really stopped looking at his phone.
He added: "I kind of had a break. I think I scored a few points with my wife.
"We made the trip to the north of Scotland, but I was living in my phone also, but that's a normal thing in the spirit of the transfer window where a lot of things need to happen.
"We know we're all busy with the rebuild of the team and it's going to require a lot of work."
On the first week back of pre-season training, Clement said: "Everybody did their programme during the summer. We've had a good training week.
"We had a few guys coming back who were out for a long time such as Ridvan [Yilmaz] and Oscar Cortes. It's important to have everyone back and to build up over the next five weeks to be ready directly for the start of the campaign.
"Firstly, we need to build their physical condition. The team missed that a lot last season - they were not prepared to play every three days in a high-intensity game.
"Because of that we had a lot of injuries, so that was a big concern. We need to train really hard and prepare them really well not only with ball exercises and running, but with a lot of exercises to strengthen their bodies.
"I guess I can say to the fans that the players will work really hard over the next couple of weeks to be stronger again next season."
