Robin Propper is poised to complete his switch to Rangers after jetting into the UK for his medical.

And the Rangers Review understands the 30-year-old could make his debut in the Premiership opener against Hearts this weekend.

The Rangers Review revealed on Wednesday that Philippe Clement had targeted a move for Propper following Connor Goldson’s switch to Aris Limassol earlier this week. Clement is now set to land his man and complete his eighth deal of the window.

Rangers kick-off their title bid at Tynecastle this weekend as Clement prepares to give the likes of Connor Barron and Vaclav Cerny their competitive debuts. And Propper will be in contention to feature against the Jambos if all the paperwork can be completed on time.

The Dutchman is set to arrive in Glasgow in the next 48 hours to put pen-to-paper on a deal.

"To all the staff in the club. Thank you! You've always made me feel at home and got me through many difficult moments. I have met some of the best men and women who would give their life to this football club and have done everything in my time to help me and my family.

"Thank you to my family, my wife and my boys for going through this journey with me, I know I wasn't easy to live with but we shared days and nights at this club that we wouldn't have thought were even possible.

"Rangers football club will always have a place in my heart. I will always follow. And I will always cheer, because when you have been a part of this special club I don't think it ever leaves you. Thank you and the best of luck for the future."
