Philippe Clement has confirmed midfielder Todd Cantwell is still training separately at Auchenhowie after requesting a move away from Ibrox this summer.
Cantwell was pictured at the Rangers training base on Friday as Clement continues his preparations for the Premiership fixture with Motherwell. The Englishman is not part of the first team squad, however, and will not be in the group for the first Hampden outing of the campaign.

Clement revealed last month that Cantwell had submitted a transfer request and will look to leave the club just 18 months after being signed by former boss Michael Beale from Norwich City. Clement would not be drawn on links on a potential switch to Trabzonspor that could see him reunited with former team-mates Borna Barisic and John Lundstram.
“I have no idea about that,” Clement said when asked about Cantwell’s situation. “Yes, he's training separately because he said clearly that he wanted to go. At the moment, I'm training, I'm working, I'm playing games with the players who want to do that here.”
Clement has seen several big names head for the exit door already this summer as he continues to rebuild his Rangers squad. And he confirmed on Monday evening that Ianis Hagi will also be allowed to depart after holding talks with the Romanian in recent weeks.
It has been suggested that Rangers could waive a fee for Hagi this summer in an attempt to persuade a suitor to come to the table as Clement looks to free up wages to reinvest in the market. The Belgian will, though, not get involved in the financial aspect of any deal.
“That's a rumour,” Clement said. “Not a rumour that I hear until now. But I'm not busy all this time for what amount of money is a player going out or coming in? It’s not my job to do. It's my job to see what's necessary for the squad, what profiles we need. There are other people financially making decisions. So it's about that. It's not me making that kind of decision.”
