Rangers midfielder Oscar Cortes has posted training images of himself back on the grass following injury on the opening day of the Scottish Premiership.
After picking up a first-half knock during Rangers' 0-0 season-opener against Hearts at Tynecastle, the 20-year-old was forced off early in the second period.
Afterwards, Rangers manager Philippe Clement said the Colombian was likely to be ruled out of contention for "four of five weeks", which caused the winger to miss the club's Champions League qualifiers against Dynamo Kyiv.
At the time, Clement confirmed that Cortes had been checked over at half-time during that match, having initially pulled up towards the end of the first 45, but felt able to carry on.
Today, less than three weeks since picking up the knock, Cortez is back on the grass as per his latest Instagram story.
Again, speaking shortly after Cortes' injury, manager Clement said:
"He had a scan and he will be out for around four or five weeks. It was a really unlucky fall in the duel, and his knee was twisted.
"So, yeah, it's an unlucky injury, nothing to do with load or whatever, just an unlucky collision with the player.
"Of course it's a hard blow for him, for the team, because he was coming back and he's going to become an important player for the future of the club. He has a lot of quality, he showed that last season, he was hungry to come back, he was on his way back, he was not at his best yet, but he showed already promising things again.
"So, yeah, it's a blow, but it's part of football. It's not only with Rangers, it's in every club in the world. You can have bad collisions, you can have those things. You need to live with that and make a fast rehab. Everybody's working hard on that."
