Rangers manager Philippe Clement has acknowledged that Cyriel Dessers and Rabbi Matondo may be sold if a suitable offer arrives before the transfer window deadline.

However, the Belgian coach expressed his desire to retain both players, especially after their impressive performances in the Rangers’ latest Scottish Premiership victory over Ross County, where Dessers and Matondo each scored twice, and Tom Lawrence along with substitute Danilo also contributed to the scoreline.

Amid ongoing speculation regarding Dessers' future at the club, reports suggest that the Nigerian striker recently declined an opportunity to join Atalanta United, fueling further discussions about his long-term prospects at Rangers.

He’s scored five goals from seven games this season and displayed why he could be relied upon to lead the line for Clement’s side.

Speaking to BBC Sportsound after the match, the Rangers boss addressed the ongoing speculation and said: "Yes, we have talked about that. Or they need to come in with a lot of money.

"We are not a club that can say no to everything but it's clear that Cyriel is taking the right steps and is more and more important and decisive in our games.

“That is what we want, players that are ambitious and have the desire to become better. So, he is somebody who is eager to become better."

Matondo has come back into favour at Rangers in recent weeks despite drawing interest from both Leeds United and Blackburn Rovers.

Following his impressive performance at Hampden Park on Saturday afternoon, where he netted two goals and provided two assists, Clement also faced questions regarding the winger's future.

“There are a lot of rumours about a lot of players,” he replied. “We are in a situation where we cannot say no to everything.

"We will see this week but I think that at the moment the situation is that Rabbi will be with us next week, and that is what I want also.

“But if somebody comes in with enough money then the club will always be open for talks."
