Rangers are reportedly hoping to sign Samuel Edozie before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline.

The Southampton player has several interested clubs chasing his signature this evening.

Sky Sports journalist Mark McAdam says the 21-year-old is likely to leave St Mary's on loan before the window is out.

And Philippe Clement's side are among a number of clubs hoping to land the former Manchester City winger.

It's up to the player to decide between the Scottish Premiership side, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United or Swansea. A further two unnamed Championship clubs are also interested.

Meanwhile, Rangers have signed Sassuolo midfielder Nedim Bajrami in a deal worth up to £3.4million.

As the Rangers Review reported on Wednesday, the two clubs have been locked in negotiations over the Albanian international over the past three days.

Bajrami moved from Empoli in 2023 but Sassuolo were relegated to Serie B at the end of last season, opening the possibility of a deal. It is understood that he will sign a four-year contract.

The midfielder scored the fastest goal in European Championship history this summer when he gave his country the lead after 23 seconds in a 2-1 defeat against Italy.

Boss Clement has been on the lookout for additions in the No.10 spot all summer with Todd Cantwell exiting the club for Blackburn Rovers and Ianis Hagi consigned to B Team football after being informed that he was not part of the plans for this term.

Rangers initially explored the option of signing Bajrami on loan but the forward forced the move and insisted he wished to agree a permanent switch to Ibrox. Discussions continued on Friday before a resolution was reached. Bajrami is now expected to travel to Glasgow in the coming days to begin his career with Rangers.
