Fans and pundits have had one eye on this game for quite some time now.

And this midweek, all of the anticipation will build to what is sure to be another dramatic encounter between Aberdeen and Rangers.

The sides will meet on Wednesday night, as third travel to take on second.

Jimmy Thelin's side have enjoyed an excellent start to the campaign, and sit level of points with league leaders Celtic.

Philippe Clement's men on the other hand have endured a difficult start to the 2024/25 campaign.

At the end of the first round of games, Rangers will know they cannot afford to potentially fall nine points behind their rivals, even this early into the season.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of this one...

When is Aberdeen vs Rangers?

Aberdeen will take on Rangers on Wednesday, October 30.

Is Aberdeen vs Rangers on TV and can I live stream it?

Yes, thankfully this match has been selected for live television broadcast by Sky Sports.

As the main rights holders to the Scottish Premiership, the broadcast giants have unsurprisingly opted to select this powderkeg clash to beam to their audience.

The game will be showcased on the Sky Sports Football channel.

The build-up to the match will begin at 7pm, which will allow for an hour of preview.

Sky customers will also be able to live stream the game via the SkyGo app.

Team news

Both managers will provide full updates on the fitness of their squads during their pre-match press conferences on Tuesday.

Clement rested the likes of James Tavernier and John Souttar for Sunday's narrow 2-1 victory over St Mirren.

Both are usually first picks at the back for the Light Blues, and will be expected to come back into the fold in the north east.

For Thelin, his side are on such a good run that it would be hard to imagine him making many alternations to his starting XI that beat Dundee United at the weekend.
