Philippe Clement pulled no punches when explaining why he had to make a double half-time change to his Rangers side on Saturday.
The Light Blues could only draw 1-1 at home to Dundee United with the players and staff booed by the Ibrox crowd at full-time.
Clement knew the first half performance was unacceptable as his side trailed to a Sam Dalby goal.
That prompted the withdrawal of Cyriel Dessers and Mohamed Diomande at the interval. On came Danilo and Ianis Hagi, who both helped make a notable difference to Rangers’ display.
Vaclav Cerny scored an equaliser but despite bossing 71 per cent possession, the hosts couldn’t find a winner.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Clement called out underperforming members of his squad and said: “We had some players who performed normal but we had some players who were not good enough today, who were not available enough today, who were not brave enough today.
“That’s why I made also some changes in half-time with players who had a good impact. We need to show much more like what we showed in the second half because then we are playing the sort of football that I want to see. So I’m going to be harsh on that.”
It was the first time since October 2021 that James Tavernier hadn't been involved in a Scottish Premiership fixture for Rangers, with Clement deciding to keep his captain on the bench for the duration of the match.
