All credit to Rangers and they deserve every minute of it.
Everyone, rightly, went in hard on them after throwing away a six-point lead in the league - no more so than here in this column.
Feelings run high, emotions and passions are always at the forefront but it’s because we know the standards they are capable of.
They have responded like champions.
Last night in Germany was a champion's performance. Yes, we rode our luck with two Dortmund chances passed up but by that point Rangers should have been ahead through Borna Barisic. That was an outstanding team move and we were knocking it about with real confidence.
We are still vulnerable at the back but it must be stressed Dortmund are an excellent attacking team and that’s why chances came.
But Rangers were so far in the game, the shape was good, the organisation was better and they were all pressing at the right time. Everything they weren’t weeks ago, they certainly were in Germany. For most of us this was all we had asked for, we dare not to dream anymore. And then it happened.

A corner swung in which Goldson narrowly missed. It was cleared easily and on we went. Most of us were completely oblivious - we certainly were in this house. Suddenly, the game is stopped and it’s a VAR check.
We thought, 'It must be us, we just had the corner’. Then there was the commentary, ‘A penalty check for handball’ and the excitement. Replays showed it was clear as day! Not even a debate and Ranger had a chance which James Tavernier took expertly.
Dare we dream? I just wanted to get it to half time with the zero intact. Dortmund would come at us, that was obvious.
But there was more Rangers pressure and another brilliant passing move. Borna once again down the left, Kent is ruining them and they don’t know what to do. Borna cuts it back and the ball makes it way to Alfredo who drills a shot which the keeper spoons wide. It was almost 0-2, I’m laughing and filled with pride because we are doing so well.
Another corner, GOOOALLL!
Oh, it’s only went and got better - every member of this house are on their feet. It’s the corner we have seen so many times as Aribo glances it on at the near post and Alfredo drifts in for number two.
What a performance! 2-0 at half-time was a brilliant result. This is Rangers at the levels where I know we can perform.
Then the third.
"Dortmund are in the eye of a Rangers storm, it’s dreamland in Deutschland" will be iconic words forever. What a strike this was - goal of the season by a mile - as Rangers popped it about then found the electric Ryan Kent. He runs, he tricks and he steps over.
‘Tricks are for the circus?!’ Not here they aren’t as Kent leaves two in his dust. A nutmeg, one sent to the shops and then the foresight to roll it to John Lundstram.
Ah Lunny. He's not been my favourite by a long shot. I found him to be slow, cumbersome and hasn’t settled at all in my opinion. But my word, he is bossing games and it's no surprise with Ryan Jack next to him. While I wasn’t sure, in the last three games he has been so far on it and controlling games. So on he goes, expertly wrapping his foot around it and puts the ball into the corner. "What a goal!", screamed Alex Rae and he wasn’t wrong.
Dreamland in Deutschland? It was and more.
And this is it. This is why we were all so hard on them. Rangers aren’t a team to sit back, we aren’t a team to contain. We take it to teams and we are organised. This is what we are capable of even if very few might have thought this was possible.
Then the comeback comes. Bellingham who is a top player, sweeps one back with a good strike. Our luck seems to have run out. There's no blame, sometimes the pressure is too much. Oh well, I thought - here comes the storm.
Nope. Here comes a fourth. Kent wins it on the left and Rangers spring, Aribo runs at the centre of Dortmund before slipping in Alfredo who takes aim, his shot is deflected and it’s in! Hold on, the flag is up but that has to stand because there is nothing in it at all! Rangers have our fourth. Bedlam!
To score any time away to Dortmund is brilliant, to do it just as they were beginning to sense blood is truly expertly done. Rangers had four and we were dreaming of a fifth.
Yes, a FIFTH in Dortmund. To be honest we probably could have got it but a combination of settling and legs tiring with lack of options meant Rangers didn’t get that fifth and instead conceded but that shouldn't take the shine of things.

What a performance. Take a bow every single one of the players. Take a bow Giovanni Van Bronckhorst.
If I was harsh and critical after that performance then it’s right to be positive and praise them after this one.
Rangers got it spot on. The organisation and shape of the team was perfect. But they pressed well and perfectly as a unit. Every bit of criticism they seemed to take on board. Gio has learned and adapted.
That’s all you can ask. Mistakes happen, bad performances happen, it’s all about the response we get. And you'd better believe this has been a response.
Dundee United away is still the biggest fixture of the week and we have to continue to kick on. Rangers have found a level, we’ve found a team that really works and as players return, particularly to central defence, we will only get stronger.
It’s only half time in Germany and we still have a massive task ahead of us but we’ve shown everyone what we can do. I asked Gio to take the handbrake off this team, well he’s done that.
Now we can’t stop. Dreamland it certainly was, now it’s time to up the gears again.
Brilliant Rangers, that’s what you are capable of.
