Rangers slumped to their second Old Firm defeat in a row at Ibrox, a result that almost certainly puts the title in Celtic’s hands.
An Aaron Ramsey goal after three minutes sent the ground into raptures but Tom Rogic grabbed an equaliser four minutes later.
Celtic took control of the game and scored a second that would prove to be decisive through Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Rangers had the majority of the ball but failed to make it count and wasted more than 40 crosses.
