Allan McGregor: Stranded as Hibs struck first on eight minutes when Goldson put into his own net from a free kick. A virtual spectator for the vast majority of the game from then on. 7
James Tavernier: Netted his fourth goal in as many games when he blasted a penalty past the despairing Marshall on 12 minutes to level matters. Wonderful long ball to Kent midway through the first half only for Cadden to slide in before he pulled the trigger. Full of energy and running down the right channel and combined well with Cantwell. 8
Connor Goldson: Didn’t know too much about Hibs’ opener when he put into his own net from close range but the initial free kick wasn’t dealt with collectively. That aside, he was rarely troubled and even found himself assisting the attack in the second half as Rangers pummelled the Easter Road side. 7
Ben Davies: Calm and assured as we’ve come to expect from the former Preston man. Aside from the calamitous Hibs goal, he and Goldson breezed the game. 7
Borna Barisic: Solid defensively and was often bombing forward as Rangers suffocated Hibs. Unfortunate not to score just after the half-hour mark when he volleyed at goal from point-blank range only for Marshall to palm his effort away in what was almost reminiscent of Andy Goram’s famous save from Pierre van Hooijdonk. 7
Ryan Jack: Dominated the midfield alongside Raskin which gave Rangers the foundation to impose themselves on Hibs. Won so many second balls and extinguished any potential fires. Set up Sakala for goal number three with a lovely cushioned header from a poor Marshall clearance. If he can produce this level of performance consistently then a new contract should be a no-brainer. 9

Nico Raskin: He and Jack bossed the midfield. The Belgian was his energetic self and always looking to play a forward pass. Slipped the ball to Sakala before the Zambian picked out Colak for goal number two. 8
Todd Cantwell: Clean in possession, often popping up in space all over the pitch. A willingness to run beyond Tavernier was causing Hibs issues. Rangers have a real gem on their hands with this boy, he’s someone you would pay to watch. 8
Fashion Sakala: Absolutely pulverised Hibs down the left-hand flank who couldn’t get near him at times. Linked up well with Kent and Colak, often feeding the pair in promising positions. Supplied the Croatian to convert at 2-1 with a brilliantly weighted pass into the danger area. Should’ve done better when played in on goal by Jack but he couldn’t get his shot away. Got his goal seven minutes after the restart when he rifled past Marshall with his left foot as Rangers capitalised on a Hibs mistake. Great feet in a packed penalty area to set up Colak for Rangers’ 4th moments later. Converted a Tavernier cross but was flagged offside as Rangers were running riot. 8
Ryan Kent: Won a penalty shortly after Hibs’ opener when he was clipped in the box by Riley following a VAR check. Missed a sitter moments later when Sakala laid the ball on a plate for him but he fluffed his lines. Fired a shot straight at Marshall on 17 minutes. His free role alongside Sakala and Colak had Hibs all over the shop defensively. The only thing missing from his performance was a goal but as we know it’s an area of his game that he’s always struggled with. 8
Antonio Colak: The Croatian justified his place with two well-taken goals either side of half time. The first saw him make a clever front post run to meet a Sakala ball across the face before a neat dink past Marshall. His second was top-drawer finishing as he found the corner whilst surrounded by a ruck of bodies. He, Kent and Sakala were interchangeable which Hibs all manner of problems. A Colak in this form is an exciting prospect going forward. 8
Substitutes
Scott Arfield: One of four subs on 77 minutes when he replaced Raskin. 3
John Lundstram: Replaced Cantwell and strolled it. 3
Alfredo Morelos: Replaced Colak and mishit a shot soon after. The Colombian should've played in Arfield late on but dallied on the ball. 3
Ianis Hagi: Replaced Kent and forced a save out of Marshall with a decent shot from range. 4
Scott Wright: Replaced Sakala and was full of running as always. 4
