THE build-up to an Old Firm derby is always something to behold.
While everyone is expecting to see fireworks on the pitch come 7.45pm tonight, not many will have foreseen fireworks prior to the game.
But the Rangers support gathered in their numbers outside Ibrox this evening to give their team a big send off as they head for Parkhead.
A fireworks display outside the main entrance awaited the players as they hopped on the coach, alongside the management team and backroom staff.
The fans also got some atmosphere building with chants on top of the pyro displays.
Video footage on social media showed the scenes outside the stadium.
Tonight's game will see Celtic fans only inside Parkhead, with no travelling fans from the blue half of the city allowed in.
That comes after Rangers denied Celtic an away allocation at Ibrox in the first Old Firm derby of the campaign.
The game tonight will be Giovanni van Bronckhorst's first taste of the derby as a manager.
