RANGERS and Celtic will both be represented in Croatia's World Cup squad - but Antonio Colak has missed out on a call-up.
Borna Barisic and Josip Juranovic have been named in Zlakto Dalic's squad for the tournament in Qatar.
But there was no space for Colak in the 26-man squad with the on-form Rangers striker left out.
Colak had been desperate to make the Qatar World Cup and represent his country after a flying start to life in Glasgow.
The striker has 14 goals in 23 matches for Rangers in all competitions this season after his summer move.
But it has not been enough to convince Dalic that he deserves a spot in the squad - which includes six forward players.
However, Barisic will head to Qatar later this month for the tournament having made the cut amongst nine defensive options.
Joining Barisic will be Celtic full-back Juranovic who looks set to feature at right-back for his country having been a constant performer for Celtic.
Speaking ahead of the squad being named, Colak said: “I hope it is decided already because in the last two months I think I have shown so many things.
“I can’t show more when it comes to scoring goals. I think he has seen what I can do and what I can bring to the national team. I hope I can make it.”
He added: "To represent your country in such a big tournament, I think it’s one of the biggest things you can achieve as a footballer.
"Throughout my career as a young boy, I had some targets like playing in the Champions League, hearing the anthem before the game, playing for the national team and one of them is also to play in a big tournament.
"Now I’m really close. I don’t know if it’s now on me or not but the coach will decide what’s best for Croatia and for the team and I hope I can be a part of it because it would be like a dream come true for me."
