Rangers captain James Tavernier revealed he has spoken to former boss Michael Beale since he was sacked as Ibrox boss.
The 43-year-old was dismissed at the start of the month after a 3-1 defeat to Aberdeen and the defender opened up on his conversations with Beale and his staff.
When asked if he had spoken to Beale after he lost his job, Tavernier responded: "Yeah I spoke to Michael and the staff that came with him. I spoke to him straight after. It is football.
"Like I have previously said, you never want to see a manager go. It comes down to performances and results and that is the game we are playing in.
"If it is not going well at a club that is known for winning games and wants to challenge for things then it can change quickly.
"It is never nice to see but it is game of football and that is what we all sign up to be. We have got to put that to one side now and it is a fresh chapter with the new gaffer.
"We all move forward."

Meanwhile, Philippe Clement has issued a Rangers injury update ahead of his first match in charge of the club tomorrow.
The Belgian was named the 19th boss of the Ibrox club last week after he replaced Michael Beale, who was axed after a string of poor results domestically.
Ahead of tomorrow's fixture at Ibrox, Clement has confirmed that both Todd Cantwell and Ryan Jack are fit to play, but they may not be available to play the entire 90 minutes.
The Rangers manager also confirmed that Danilo is adapting to a face mask after he fractured his cheekbone in a match against St Johnstone last month, but he could play some part.
Midfielders Tom Lawrence, Jose Cifuentes and Rabbi Matondo will all miss the fixture through injury.
