Rangers head coach Jo Potter was NOT amused by Celtic's pre-match antics prior to today's Scottish Cup semi-final.

The women's teams met at Hampden this afternoon to fight it out for a place in the final of the competition next month. The winner will face either Spartans or Hearts.

But with both teams set and raring to go, kick-off was delayed because of the length of Celtic's traditional huddle before the game.

The game was televised live on BBC Scotland, and they captured the moment when Potter seemed rather ticked off about Elena Sadiku's side ignoring the referee's prompts to end the huddle and get on with the game.

She was spotted shaking her head as Celtic made Rangers wait for the kick-off.

Audible jeers were heard from the Rangers crowd at the national stadium.

Jane Lewis pointed out at half-time: "It's fair to say I think there were some mind games at play here. Celtic were still in the huddle, Rangers were lined up ready to go. Jo Potter wasn't amused."

And Beeb pundits Shelley Kerr and Rachael Boyle agreed with Potter's frustrations over the matter.

Former Scotland boss Kerr said: "Right away, you can tell that Jo Potter is a winner. She was like that as a player, so things like that, she's going to have a pop at the fourth official to be fair. Most managers would, especially in a semi-final of the Scottish Cup."

Rachael Boyle added: "I think I saw Elena trying to wind up the fans at the start of kick off as well, so that's playing a part as well, they are trying to get their fans involved to get them behind the team. But Rangers had the better start so they were right up for this game."

It was Potter who had the last laugh though, as her side reached the final with a 2-0 victory in the southside sunshine. 

Chelsea Cornett and Kirsty Howat scored late in the game to seal the deal.

Potter said afterwards: "It doesn't surprise me... when you've got to use tactics like that it says more about your mindset."

On the match, she added: "Honestly, I wasn't worried.

"I knew we were fitter, I knew we had the better chances, I couldn't remember a stage in the game where they had worried us.

"They were looking to get set pieces so they can lump the ball into the box because they have got Caitlin who is great in both boxes.

"We were creating chances and that was the biggest thing for me - that is why I wasn't worried."
