Philippe Clement has cleared up confusion regarding his half-time substitution of John Souttar, explaining the defender was removed from play due to an injury.
The Belgian doesn't know how serious the situation is for the Scotland international or if he will make the game with Dundee on Wednesday night at Ibrox.
The Sky Sports match reporting team had informed the watching public via their commentary team that Clement had NOT made the decision due to an injury during the Scottish Premiership encounter.
But when asked for his explanation for the presumed tactical move, the Ibrox boss seemed confused, and confirmed that the Scotland defender had been injured in the first half.
Sky's reporter said: "You made that change at half-time, what was the thinking the with McCausland coming on for Souttar?"
Clement replied: "He had an injury. We were forced to do that, to make the change. We don't know yet (if Souttar can return quickly)."
With Connor Goldson, Leon Balogan and now Souttar injured, Rangers' only have Ben Davies and young Leon King as established centre-backs on their books.
