Gheorghe Hagi has turned his line of fire on Rangers manager Philippe Clement as he launched another blast at the Ibrox club for their treatment of his son Ianis.
The Romanian international has been frozen out at Rangers and told he can leave.
But he made clear in a statement that he has never asked to leave the club and insisted he was still available for selection if required.
His famous father Gheorghe launched a stinging attack on his son's treatment this week and revealed he even told Rangers to 'shut up' in heated conversations.
And now Hagi senior - who has been to Ibrox to watch Ianis as a guest of the club previously - has criticised Clement for the way he has ignored his son.
He said: "Ianis respected everyone at Rangers. But the manager told him that he either trained alone or with the B team.
"Ianis didn't do anything wrong - the manager told him to train alone. He was hurt.
"Ianis is a valuable player. Rangers won the league when he was playing. They didn't win the league when he wasn't playing.
"My point of view is that Rangers have taken this too far with him. He gave everything for Rangers, he is loved by the public, how could he not train with the first team?
"He is their only international player. He won the title with Steven Gerrard, he was the only Rangers player at the Euros. He is young.
"I never thought such a petty action would happen in the West."

Ianis Hagi's statement reads: "I've been aware of the noise and speculation regarding my situation, my role and my contract in the club.
"I have loved playing for Rangers and the Ibrox fans since the moment I got here. I want to make it clear, I have never once asked to leave this football club. I will always make myself available, and there's always a way to navigate around any situation if there's a will on both sides and that was communicated officially weeks ago by me and my team.
"I'm here, willing, and Rangers Ready to help, work and fight for the club, team and manager."
