Ally McCoist has detailed the only 'news breaking' he expects to come from Rangers today.
After the rumour mill surrounding Philippe Clement has quashed last night - with WhatsApp claims he'd left by mutual consent rubbished - the Belgian remains in post.
McCoist believes his former club cannot afford to get rid of the 50-year-old, with Rangers currently 11 points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership title race.
A 1-1 draw against Dundee United at Ibrox on Saturday has led to more murmurs of discontent among the Rangers support.
And while McCoist has sympathise, he can't see it happening any time soon.
He does expect to hear of some significant changes in the boardroom today, though.
Asked about the situation by talkSPORT co-host Jeff Stelling, McCoist said: "It won't happen (sacking Clement) for a number of reasons. The first one being I don't think they can afford it.
“I don't think they're in a financial position to do it. But it's been poor. I didn't go to the game on Saturday, but the boys did and they said they were miles off it.
"It's going to be a struggle to finish second, they've got a cup final coming up against Celtic who had another great result at the weekend.
"It's going to be a long period to be brutally honest. I'm going to Nice on Thursday, so it's not all bad! But changing the manager ain't going to happen.
"I stuck up for him, and it's factually correct that the uncertainty above him hasn't helped. Yes, of course, results haven't been good enough.
"I think there's going to be news breaking today about changes in the board and personnel above him, which is long overdue.
"Hopefully that will come which can give them a bit of stability to turn things round about. But they ain't catching Celtic this season sadly, and it breaks my heart to say that."
