Player ratings from Rangers match against Servette in the Champions League 3rd Qualifying Round second leg.
Jack Butland: An upgrade from last season's keeper options, the big keeper was superb throughout. Outstanding early save when Timothe Cognat burst into the box looking destined to score. The big keeper stood tall before springing to his right when it looked like a certain opener for Servette and he made other good stops too. Had no chance with Kutesa's unstoppable finish. 8
James Tavernier: Defensively suspect at times and not having a good game when he did what he often does and stepped up to the plate with a huge goal. The right-back swept home a trademark back post header to give his side momentum at a crucial time. Not his best night but one of the few Rangers players who step up with personality in big moments. 7
Connor Goldson: An uncharacteristically nervy display at the back from the big defender as the Swiss side swamped forward in the first half but he grew into the game and improved in the second along with his team. 7
John Souttar: Beaten to the ball in the lead-up to the opening goal. Looked uncomfortable at times by the questions posed but stood up to be counted as the game wore on. 6
Borna Barisic: Was caught sleeping at a break that nearly led to a Servette goal. Rangers survived and Barisic more than made up for his error with an outstanding whipped cross for Tavernier's equaliser. Showed a willingness to drive forward and everyone knows about his wand of a left peg. 7
Ryan Jack: Toiled away manfully in midfield doing the dirty work with his usual effectiveness. Kept the ball moving and made a number of solid challenges. 6
Nico Raskin: Such a neat and tidy player. Got forward as often as he could and had a couple of decent sights of goal but couldn't find the net. Showed he can mix it up as well as play as he fought and scratched over every blade of grass. 8
Jose Cifuentes: Worked hard in midfield and looks a very good signing, perfect for the hustle and bustle of Scottish football. Broke into the final third with menace before delivering a delicious ball to Danilo but the striker couldn't finish when it looked easier to score. 8
Todd Cantwell: Rarely lost the ball and always looked to take it on. Even when things aren't going well for him, the Englishman never hides and continues to try and affect the game. Created a wonderful chance late on after an intricate interchange with Cyriel Dessers. 7
Abdallah Sima: A quiet game from the winger. Didn't get too many opportunities to utilise his explosive pace. Taken off after an hour for Sam Lammers. If he wants to be a success he will need to have a more tangible impact on games. 5
Danilo: Brought back memories of Peter van Vossen with an astounding miss with the goal at his mercy. The ball bobbled slightly in front of the Brazilian-born striker but there are no excuses for a moment of such profligacy. A sloppy overall performance from a player the Rangers management will expect much more from. Substituted. 4

Cyriel Dessers: On with half an hour to play. Put himself about. Hit the post when put through on goal after great link-up play with Cantwell. 5
Sam Lammers: Introduced with Dessers. Grafted for the team with little success. 4
Dujon Sterling: Brought on to shore up the game in a back three. 2
