It's do-or-die for Rangers at Parkhead on Saturday with anything less than a victory rendering the title hopes over for another year.

Philippe Clement's men are three points behind and five goals worse off than their arch-rivals who know a win will all but secure the Premiership title for a third successive season.

With a win the only option, just how will Rangers line up?

Clement must make the most of his 'puzzle' once again heading to Parkhead tomorrow. And this writer doesn't expect too much deviation from the team who took to the field last week against Kilmarnock.

Ben Davies is likely to come in for his first start since the 3-2 win away at Real Betis alongside John Souttar at the heart of defence. Ridvan Yilmaz is fit again so must play from the off.

In midfield, while Dujon Sterling is required in more than one position, expect Clement to continue with a trio of Diomande, Lundstram and Cantwell. Sterling's drive may be required to get the better of Greg Taylor at left-back with limited options on the wing once more. If that were the case he would've started an Old Firm at left-back, central-midfield and right-wing in one season. 

Fabio Silva's best showing for Rangers came away in Benfica and Clement will require similar levels from the Portuguese player in tomorrow's Old Firm. In an ideal world, the Belgian boss would opt for two wingers to run into space and carry the ball, but Silva looked sharper last week in more of a narrow role. There will be space at Parkhead he can access.

That leaves Cyriel Dessers, supported by Todd Cantwell, to lead the line. Rangers fans don't have much reason to be overly optimistic about their striking options, which have worked against their team in so many Old Firm meetings of late. Both players need a big performance or a big moment in this game.

Derek Clark

If Rangers are to win they're going to have to be brave and bold and that means a team selection that has Celtic guessing.

With Leon Balogun doubtful, it means Ben Davies is likely to start which will allow John Souttar to play on his more natural right side of the defence. Both can't afford brain farts we have witnessed from the pair at the same venue before.

The return of Ridvan Yilmaz last Sunday was a welcome one, he simply has to start in place of Borna Barisic. The Turk offers Rangers so much more going forward and they need to be aggressive from the off.

Midfield is a major conundrum. John Lundstram has struggled in Old Firm games, his legs don't allow him to dictate the fixture and coupled with the fact he's heading for the Ibrox exit door there is a temptation to try something different. Nico Raskin has been a bit part player at best under Clement, perhaps now is the time for the Belgian to step up and show why he was brought to the club in the first place. He certainly offers more energy than Lundstram. Dujon Sterling should be moved more centrally also for that reason. His physicality in the engine room could prove crucial.

Now, in front of those two, Todd Cantwell would seem the obvious choice but he too has flattered to deceive recently. Can Rangers afford another below-par performance from him? No. Mohamed Diomande would represent a decent alternative, his endeavour and quality on the ball will be key and he seems a better option.

Sterling's move centrally frees up the right-hand side of the forward line. Ross McCausland should occupy that role with Fabio Silva on the left. Ideally, Abdallah Sima would feature but he remains sidelined.
